The Uvalde Memorial Tree stands as a testament to resilience, remembrance, and the enduring power of community healing. Crafted with Timberlyne’s signature mass timber construction, the soaring wooden beams create a natural canopy that supports handcrafted paper flowers in vibrant blues, purples, and whites. Featuring 21 branches to honor each life lost at Robb Elementary: Two larger branches memorializing the teachers and 19 smaller branches memorializing the children.

Timberlyne donated the memorial tree to Legacy Elementary School with help from project partners: Laurel and Rett Guthrie at Timber Plates, who provided all the steel fabrication labor for free, and Moore Erection LP, who donated field welding services. Our partners’ generosity towards this project is greatly appreciated, and we hope this meaningful feature will provide a sense of remembrance and comfort to students, staff, and the community

The tree is based on the main floor of the school where the trunk sits and stands almost 40' tall as it extends to the roof and through the second floor mezzanine. It was fabricated using Douglas Fir Glulam to develop the 20" in diameter truck and 25' long base before it connects with the canopy of branches.
