The San Antonio Zoo unveiled the new Savanna expansion. The new expansion will combine the former elephant habitat with the existing Giraffe Savanna. The changes are part of the zoo’s 20-year plan, in which the nonprofit is slated to invest $200 million to $250 million in building or expanding “large, natural, enriching” habitats for more animals, modernizing the roughly 57-acre site.
